此局最初从《百花16集》中看到，第一印象只有两字：“精巧”，当即收藏了（否则是很难查到的）。近年又在朱小坚、王首成《象棋精巧实用杀法》（局名“石破天惊”）中看到。这两天在整理《棋友》有关栏目的残排局时，从方长勤的笔下，才深入了解此局系出自南洋，即新加坡排局双星之一杨忠文的作品。

本人推测，此局可能原载新加坡《北斗棋苑》，并通过这个象棋杂志传入内地，然后方长勤写下这篇推荐性棋文。按：这里的“新加坡排局双星”系指此局作者杨忠文及陈团生，两人时任“北斗象棋研究会”副主席。其中，前者相对比较陌生，后者则广为大陆排局界熟知，曾在《百花》多集中发表了不少作品。

在这里本人想要说的是，据上所述，少子精巧残排局并非个人偏爱，同样也得业内喜欢——不仅有前辈方长勤和《百花16集》的主编、编委，还有在座的朱小坚等当下名师。本人相信，许多的普通象棋爱好者也会喜欢，受众面很广。
